Public Health Experience: Currently working as a clinical informatics specialist. As a clinical informatics specialist, my role entails working alongside clinicians to facilitate accurate, specific, and timely clinical documentation. I am an expert in clinical workflows, value-based medicine, preventative care for chronic conditions, population health data streams, team-based and value-based care, and electronic health record systems such as Epic, Greenway, and Canopy, including ICD-10 and CPT coding. I use this expertise to assist service providers in identifying and closing care gaps.
Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: I have decided to return and continue my education at UNC Charlotte because I believe that an MPH degree from UNC Charlotte will prepare me to become an effective public health leader and advocate for positive change and aid marginalized communities.
